TECHNOLOGIES
Our Office Prides Itself In Being On The Leading Edge Of The Most Advanced Dental Technologies. We Combine Our Knowledge Of These Technologies, Our Skills And Our Artistry To Achieve Excellence In Our Care To All Our Patients.
Digital Imaging –
Computer imaging programs have become an excellent tool to help with the planning for smile makeovers and full mouth rehabilitation treatments for patients. Advanced Computer Imaging System gives you a photograph of what your smile looks like before treatment and a sneak preview of how it will look after. The after image can be adjusted until it’s exactly what you want. With a preview of your results, you will be able to make the most informed procedural selection.
Sterilization –
Modern Dental always provides a safe and clean environment. We meet or exceed all guidelines set forth by the ADA and the Center for Disease Control. We employ hospital cleanliness standards and sterilization techniques. Using a three-step sterilization process on all instruments and handpieces, with the last step being steam sterilization, each patient we treat is completely protected.
Providing a clean, disinfected environment for each patient is critical. We use plastic coverings in all of our treatment rooms and all water used for patient treatment passes through an ultra-violet sterilization process. We also use protective equipment such as latex gloves, masks, eyewear, and lab coats.
Intra Oral Cameras –
An invaluable tool in today’s dentistry, the intra-oral camera makes diagnosis and doctor-patient communication easier. The doctor can better visualize conditions such as tooth fracture, leaking margins of existing restorations, and recurrent decay. You can see what the doctor sees, understand the diagnosis, and have a better understanding of your oral health. In addition, these images are sometimes used to supply your insurance company with necessary documentation for their processing needs.
Digital X-Rays –
Instant images can each be used to examine teeth for virtually any problem or disorder. Programmed for magnification, colorization, and measurement to give you the highest level of accuracy. Images can be magnified 1800x. This procedure increases the dentist’s diagnostic capability tremendously.
Nitrous Oxide –
Our machine allows us to give an exact amount of nitrous oxide needed to relax a patient and can be given in incremental doses. The machine contains a pin-index and diameter-index safety system to ensure proper attachment and flow of gases to the patient.
“The Wand” ® Anesthetic System –
Over 50% of patients fear anesthetic syringes, according to a recent national survey. Some patients get more nervous than others at the mere sight of a needle. Discomfort from a dental shot is mostly due to the feeling of pressure created by the flow of dental anesthetic. A computer controlled injection system called THE WAND® can greatly relieve this discomfort.
THE WAND® doesn’t look like a traditional syringe, so the patient’s initial apprehension is minimized. During the actual injection, the development of an anesthetic pathway combined with computer controlled constant flow assures that there is minimal awareness that the injection is even being given.
